Wildwood Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian church governed by elders selected from the congregation. We hold to the following beliefs and practices:
- Who is God? The God of the Bible is the only true God, all knowing, all powerful, everywhere, and is passionate about a relationship with each individual person.(Genesis 1:1; Psalm 19:1-3)
- Who is Jesus? Jesus is God in the flesh, was crucified and resurrected thus serving as the atoning sacrifice for our sin and is our only way to God. (John 14:6)
- Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is God and serves as His presence in the life of a Christian and empowers us to connect with Christ, our community, and the Church. (1 Corinthians 6:19)
- What is the Bible? The Bible is the inerrant and inspired word of God revealing His nature, His pursuit of us, and our path to connecting to Jesus, people, and His church. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- Why do we need Jesus? Humanity is created in the image of God in order to love Him and to love each other, but is unable to because of sin, thus needing Jesus to be their forgiver and leader. (Romans 6:23)
- How do I become saved? We believe all have sinned and the only way for anyone to be reconciled back to God and inherit eternal life is through accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)
- What is the Church? The Church is the body of believers who live in community to connect to Jesus and people. (Hebrews 10:25)
- What are Elders and what do they do? The appointed eldership is responsible for shepherding and leading this church body in connecting with Jesus and people. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:2)
