BigStuf 2017 Packing List
To help you and your student pack with as much information as possible, we'd like to provide you with a packing list. The BigStuf Parent Guide includes a small list of packing suggestions, but we wanted to elaborate a bit on that:
Most Important Thing to Bring
Make sure you bring a good attitude, and always show your respect for God, others, and your leaders for the week.
Clothing Needs
- 6 pairs of shorts
- 6 shirts. No spaghetti straps. Halters and shoulder coverings must be 3” wide
- 1 hoodie or light jacket
- 1 pair of jeans or capris
- 1 “nicer” outfit for our dinner together on Thursday night
- 1 outfit for “Neon Night” on the last day of camp. Bright colors, glow sticks, etc.
- Undergarments
- Socks
- Flip Flops
- Tennis shoes
- Water shoes, if desired
- 2 swimsuits
- Sleepwear
General Needs
- 2 beach towels
- 2 bath towels
- Pillow for bus
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb/brush, soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Blow dryer, if needed
- Deodorant
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses or hat
- Personal hygiene items
- Hair stuff
- Flashlight
- Bible
- Pens
Spending Money
You will need to bring money for 5 meals. Breakfast and lunch on the bus ride down, dinner on Thursday night, and lunch and dinner on the trip home.
Minimum amount to bring: $50
If you choose to buy souvenirs or BigStuf merchandise during the trip, you will need more. However, we ask that no one brings more than $120.
Pack a Carry-On
Please pack a separate bag to take on the bus with you. Include items you’ll want once we arrive at the beach. Our larger suitcases will not be taken off the bus until we get to the resort in Panama City Beach.
In the smaller bag, please have a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and snacks. You may also want an extra shirt to change into.
You will also want to bring a blanket for the bus ride down, as it can get quite cold during the night.
