Promises: Hope
There are times in our lives when everybody feels hopeless. The circumstances of life pile up so high that it seems there's nothing that could make it better. Friends at school, family tensions, past mistakes, present failures, and the list could go on and on.
The first week of our Promises series is all about the birth of Jesus. Why talk about the nativity scene at this time of year? Because we can look at it without Santa Claus, presents, and the "cuteness" of the holiday getting in the way. All that stuff can fade away, and we can look at the events of that day, thousands of years ago, minus all of our preconceived notions of what happens every year.
This week, we look at how God's presence in this world gives us hope for the dark times of life. God came out of Heaven, and into this world, in the form of a baby. He set up shop in our midst, to save us.
See you there!!
