How seriously does Jesus take this “discipleship” business? Jesus said, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciple. He said, whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves. He said, anyone who puts their hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for service in the kingdom. Those are statements which indicate Jesus means business when it comes to being one of His disciples. He indicates that to be a disciple means all or nothing, that we are all in. In this new series, we will learn from Luke’s gospel what is a disciple and why is Jesus so serious about this?
