What is a Saturday Swap?

The idea is that everyone makes something homemade, enough for everyone who attends to have one to take home. So if 12 people RSVP, you bring 12 of your items. This would be an event people would definitely have to RSVP for, with enough advance notice that they can make enough of their items. There is a cutoff date for RSVPs to receive items. Whatever you bring has to be made by you.

What should you bring?

Breads, tea blends, seeds, crocheted item, candy, jam, granola, lotion bars, soap, bug spray, candle, simmer pot kit, sugar scrub, linen spray, sweet bread, flavored butter, dry mixes, cookies, bracelets, pickles, a plant, flowers, sauces, bookmarks, candied nuts, beeswax wraps, pasta, mini cakes, muffins, coffee creamer, syrup, trail mix, soup, dips, drink mixes, fire starters, wood balm, eggs (if you have chickens), sourdough starter, infused sugar or salt, something you sew, infused oil, potpourri, pie filling, herbal remedies, fire cider, sachets for the drawers, bath salts, shower steamers, non toxic cleaner, something embroidered, rice bags, kefir, fruit leather, popcorn seasoning, honey, pot holder, natural perfume, pottery, hand soap, cards, chapstick, snack mix, pie filling, salsa, something homegrown, an extract, pesto, etc. the possibilities are wide open.

What if 20+ people register?

If that many people register, that will be incredible! However, we will not bring more than 12 of our items. This could get expensive and overwhelming fast if we did not have that rule, depending on how many people register. Everyone will go home with 12 items, and then you can pick and choose from the 20+ items to take home.

When do I register?

ASAP is preferred. To go home with any items, you must register by March 29. You can still attend the event if you register after this, but you will not be able to take any items home. This is to ensure we each have enough time to prepare for the event.

What will we be doing?

Shopping, of course! Everyone will explain their item and what it contains. People may have questions or be interested in your hobby. A mocktail bar with homemade syrups will be available to try, along with simple finger foods.
