It is important that we finish the things that we started. God wants us to see things through to the end.

Jesus said in Matthew "Simply let your Yes be Yes and your No be No; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." Matthew 5:37.We should stay true to our word that we give. Integrity is important. "The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are trustworthy." Proverbs 12:22

If you want your children to be trustworthy and to stay true to their word they have to see that example in you.

This week take the time to go over the story of Noah's Ark as a family and talk about the importance of finishing what you start.

We try to force pieces to fit by shoving them, bending them, and taping them, but God is the perfect builder of everything and we need to put our full trust in Him to obtain the picture.
This week go over the story of Gideon as a family and talk about How God has perfectly pieced together the different pieces in your life.

God gave us instructions in the bible. One example for that is through the example of Elijah and the Widow from 1 Kings 17:7-24. How are you following God's instructions in your life as an example for your children to follow?
Find time to go over this story with them this week, talk about it as a family, and give examples on how you follow God's instructions in your own life.

Lord, I pray that You will grant wisdom to know the true instructions that You have given us to follow in the bible and also grant the discipline in order to carry them out.
Amen
