Small Groups Begin In September!
 
"We have this discussion every time.  The knife you're using is too small and you're slicing in the wrong direction." . . . "This is just how I do it.  No one ever complains at the festival about the way their watermelon was cut." . . . "Listen, August is the month this nation celebrates watermelon.  We do it right, or we don't do it at all!" . . . "You sure are serious about your watermelon.  Alright, we'll do it y our way, but know this; August is about more than watermelons!"

In addition to being the month with National Watermelon Day (August 3rd), August is also the month we kickoff a new year of small group ministry at WCC.  Throughout the month you will have the opportunity to express your interest and small group preferences by registering online or by picking up a form at church.  Even though you may have a group that you'd like to remain with, we're asking that everyone fill out a new card.

By September, we'll have connected everyone who's interested in a group.  Groups will have an initial get-to-know-you meeting during the week of September 11 and will begin studying our sermon series on following Jesus during the week of September 18.

If you're new to small groups, this is the perfect time to jump in.  Small groups are the best way to connect with the church family at Wildwood, and make August know for something other than watermelons!
